John was born in Metuchen, NJ and his early life was spent in Fayetteville, but he feels like he has always been a native of Garner. Drawing and art were most of John’s inspiration for beginning in massage as he continually studied how the body moved and functioned in order to properly represent the human form.
Like many of us, John has worked in the restaurant field, most notably as a cook at the Second Empire in Raleigh. He had a brief run as a barista as well.
John began to appreciate the physical and emotional benefits of touch by getting and giving massages to family and friends. He learned he had this gift even before becoming a professional massage therapist through the American and European Massage Clinic.
John is quite versatile with his work and can be very light with his touch, yet he enjoys to do deep tissue work. He has trained in Russian Medical massage but also is certified in such varied techniques as cupping (think Michael Phelps). Helping other people heal their bodies is very gratifying to John and it’s what keeps him coming back.
No stranger to movies or live music, John is also a big fan of Volkswagens and is a former owner of a Type 2 Transporter.
Give John a warm table, quiet tunes, and soft light, and he can do wonders fixing people’s physical problems. Talk if you like, snooze if you want, it doesn’t matter. You’re in good hands with John.
